Founded by IIT Kanpur Graduates, we are the fastest growing tech-enabled hyperlocal logistics startup helping businesses (merchants) to fulfill their customer orders by offering them delivery as a service. We have been funded by India's biggest VC firm, Accel Partners (Portfolio Companies: Facebook, Flipkart, Myntra etc.)
Since launch of operations in June 2015, we have grown significantly to a strong 100+ team, from across the country including alumni of IIM and ISB. We are currently operating in Bangalore, Delhi/NCR, Hyderabad and soon will be expanding to more cities.
Our mission is to provide an unmatched customer experience by enabling chaos-free delivery from local merchants to the consumer’s doorstep. Our fleet of Ground Pilots are powered by awesome technology that helps them to fulfil the promise of delivery within 20 minutes of consumer’s order (with the merchant). ABOUT Opinio PoS:
We are a fast growing start-up, building next generation Point of Sale Software and last mile delivery service for food, grocery, bakery, Peer-to-Peer and more. The company was founded by IIT Kanpur Computer Science graduates and is recently funded by India's biggest VC firm Accel Partners (Portfolio Companies: Facebook, Flipkart, Mantras etc.), Delhivery and Private Equity Firm Sands Capital.
We provide a cloud based & online POS solution for restaurants. Opinio has reach to close to 2000 restaurants and food outlets spread out across 6 cities of India (Bangalore, NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune and Chennai). The Opinio PoS helps restaurants in their billing & reporting, CRM, Inventory Management, Recipe Management, etc. Clubbed with Opinio’s delivery solution, our mission is to provide an unmatched customer experience as well as a smooth functioning of food outlets and restaurants.
Since launch of operations in June 2015, we have grown significantly and the team now boasts of talent acquired from premier institutes like IIT Kanpur, IIM-Bangalore/Lucknow and ISB. Job title: Sales - Intern.
Reporting to: City Manager – Sales (POS)
Job location: Multiple locations – Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Pune & Mumbai.
Role & Responsibilities:
Role and 8 weeks’ plan:
Assuming a standard two months’ internship period, the intern will be expected to spent the first week in training where he /she learns about the product and subsequently spends the second week shadowing ASM /CMs.
For the next 6 weeks, he/she will be expected to visit stores directly and generate leads to act upon for the city sales team. Measurement of performance will essentially be in terms of the number of leads generated and finally on the number of conversions - the ultimate yardstick to measure success.
Qualifications:
1. Quick learner, who is technically savvy.
2. Understands how a software product is used in the context of business.
3. Can switch gears in terms of how to communicate with a polished high end multi store operating merchant vs. a local business minded single store owner.
4. Has the tenacity to persist, key criteria to excel in sales.
5. Strong communication skills (English and local language).

The stipend that we offer to the interns is between Rs. 20,000 - Rs. 30,000 depending on the candidate.
