About BabyChakra (http://babychakra.com): A "Zomato" For New & Young Mothers/Families
BabyChakra.com is a unique social discovery platform that helps new mothers (expecting a child or with a young child) discover & decide on the best local services for themselves as well as their children, using strong social integrations such as reviews and original user generated content. E.g. of services include pediatricians, playschools, activity classes, daycares, many product companies and service providers. We've been funded by some of the premier early stage investors in India (Mumbai Angels and Singapore Angels) and were recently selected for the Microsoft Accelerator Programme in Bangalore out of 2100+ applicants. With over 350k+ mothers/young families who use on a monthly basis we are well on our way to become India's first and largest discovery and networking platform for such parents. There model has been successfully executed in US, Europe and even China but nobody has cracked it in India!
About the Internship:
The selected intern(s) will help establish our presence in Mumbai and will work on following during the internship:
- Interact with BabyChakra's top 100 influencers (doctors in particular) in the course of the internship and convert them to Brand Ambassadors. You and the small team we will assemble in New Delhi will forge some of the most important relationships for us as a company. Imagine working at Zomato in their early days when they had to rope in some of the most important restaurants in major localities. At BabyChakra, you'll be dealing with doctors, hospitals and other varied influential agents.
- Strategize and prioritize the interactions with individuals who can influence many others to join BabyChakra (Google "growth hacking" to really understand this further)
- Responsible for on-going management of key relationships. Responsible for Brand Ambassador success
- Base stipend: Rs. 10, 000/- + performance linked bonus at our discretion
- You are essentially expected to think and work as an entrepreneur would. You will come in to the office once or twice a week but will otherwise from home, coffee shops and taxis but will always be in touch with us via phone, email and WhatsApp.
