Darashaw - Placements

DARASHAW will be coming to  our Campus on 14th January,2016 at 11.30am at AV Room with Multiple Profiles and Multiple openings.

THE PROFILES ARE NOT RESTRICTED TO FINANCE, THEY ARE ALSO A GREAT OPTION FOR PEOPLE LOOKING AT A MARKETING, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, RESEARCH, OPERATIONS, MANAGEMENT JOB AS WELL. EACH SPECIFIC TO A PROFILE.

Darashaw has a very niche business model, which caters to a select group of highly specialized institutional clients and corporates. It is therefore imperative that students understand the business of Darashaw to be able to understand the scope of the roles offered to them.

Hence, as a practice they first deliver a Pre Placement Talk where the Business model and the job roles are explained and discussed at length to give the students a panoptic view of the profile, vis-s-vis sharing the JD directly, which would hold little or no meaning and may confuse them.

All the same, herewith is the brief of the profiles for which they would be looking at the students.



Roles offered

1,Front end role in Debt capital markets

 Tentative Locations
o For DCM Origination - Mumbai/Delhi/Bengaluru (small probability)
oFor DCM Institutional sales – Mumbai
oFor RB businesses, depending on business need can be
Mumbai/Delhi/Bengaluru/Hyderabad/Chennai/Kolkata/others

2.Research role
 Technical Research
o On various asset classes like equities, interest rates, commodities, global indices etc. as the research is subscribed by fund managers spread globally
 Location: Mumbai

3.Front end role in Equity Markets
Private Client Group (PCG team)
o Caters to asset acquisition for Equity Portfolio Management based on Technical Research in
HNI/VHNI markets. Associates would get relevant training in Technical Research first
o Location : Mumbai initially and post training can Mumbai/Delhi/Bengaluru
Institutional Dealing
o Darashaw is a member of the National Stock Exchange and the Bombay Stock Exchange in the Equity Cash & Derivative segments.
o The Institutional Sales Team is empanelled with some of the largest investors in the domestic
Institutional space (Mutual Funds, Insurance Companies, Banks, Proprietary Funds and Corporates) and executes trades on their behalf
o Location : Mumbai

4.OOM Operations
o The members of this team work closely with the management on various tasks and reports to the Office of Management to drive various organization wide initiatives. Coordination and follow up with various task assignees/ regional heads and business heads etc. and report progress on given tasks.
o Associates would also facilitate, schedule and manage meetings/conference calls and make power point presentations when required. They are responsible for keeping the management informed on key events about clients, managing databases/MIS for management consumption and actively managing logistics of business promotion activities etc.
o Location: Mumbai

5.Business Development Role at TSR Darashaw
o This team is responsible for strategizing and executing of sales plans to ensure achievement of sales targets.
o They are also responsible for the entire business development cycle (conducting market research, build prospect databases, identify potential clients, cold calling and making presentations to CXOs, preparing proposals, negotiating, closing the deal and contract design). Preparation of RFP/proposals, drafting and maintenance of SLAs(Service Level Agreements).
o Working closely with Operations team for effective delivery management and post implementation support. Assist in design and updating of marketing presentations, brochures and other collaterals from time to time. Maintaining MIS for the Marketing department.
o Location: Mumbai

Please note:
1. All the profiles will entail substantial training and hence various roles are under various minimum tenure periods of 3/4/5 years. Details regarding the same would be covered during the Pre-Placement Talk

It is mandate for all unplaced placement cell members to be present.
