Moneylife Foundation - Internship

Moneylife Foundation is a Mumbai based NGO focused on spreading financial literacy, protection of savers & investors, credit counseling, financial research and advocacy throughout India. Moneylife Foundation has been working in this field for six years now and it has over 38,750 members, runs 4 Helplines and have already conducted over 270 workshops and seminars at the pace of nearly one every week. We are currently looking out for serious students/interns who are open to Part Time internships as well as Full Time employment with Moneylife Foundation.
Please find below the details pertaining to our requirement/s along with the Job Descriptions / brief details of the work that would be required to be carried out by the candidates.

(a) Part Time : Internships

Openings for internships at Moneylife Foundation are available for a short duration of 3-6 months ( with a Minimum Period of 5 Weeks ), during which the candidate would be required to be available for 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) for 4 hours a day, from 3.30 pm to 7.30 pm, wherein you they be expected to work with individual experts on various issues as a part of our Daily Clinics.

Moneylife Foundation’s Daily Clinics provide free guidance to people on various issues. The key workshops are as under.,

We are looking out for students/interns who are fluent with English with proficient and practical working knowledge of Word, Excel and Power point, who would be required to assist the Sr. Activists/Experts mentioned above, during the course of the Daily Clinics being held by them. We believe that this is a fantastic learning experience for any youngster who would want to make a career in this field.  Especially those who may be studying in these areas. The practical experience from a 3/6 month internship will be invaluable.  As an intern you would get an excellent opportunity to get trained under the activists who actually handle the issues and can get practical experience. All Interns are also provided with appropriate Internship Certificates, on the successful completion of their internship.

Some of the tasks which you would be required to handle during the Daily Clinics would include.,

Pre-Preparation for the counselling / seminars every evening:
Checking the Hall arrangements |  Keeping the Registration papers ready | Ensuring computer, projector, pointer etc are in place | Ensuring Notepad / Pens / Water arrangements are in place
Ensuring cleanliness in the pantry area and in the main hall | Coordinating and ensuring availability of Flowers, Memento, Photographer, Videographer as and when required, etc 

Before the Start of the programmes :
Take registrations (for an hour before the event starts) | Updating the office iphone by entering new names in broadcast list | Sending reminder mails
Updating colour prints of forthcoming programmes ( and removing old ones )

Short write up of the Daily Clinics:
Requesting the Counsellor/advisor to dictate a summary of the proceedings and mail it back to them. ( Ideally, when the Counsellor/advisor comes in or is about to leave )

For Special Events :
Ensuring coordination and Proper coverage, by writing down points and coordinating with our Dy. Editor to do a small write up with photographs

Social Media: 
Daily Uploading of photos on the facebook page/s | Uploading of Future events on a regular basis | Sending New friend requests etc to spread the word, etc. 



(b) Full Time : Project Coordinators

Moneylife Foundation is also seeking bright, upright and highly motivated Students to work as project coordinators, with the following profile., 
  • Convent Educated Graduates with good communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and correct writing is a must.
  • Smart and career oriented, capable of taking additional office responsibilities and diligent in their work
  • Previous experience of working in an NGO would be preferable.
  • Event Management, Coordination with Venues and service providers for booking of Venues for external Meetings & Seminars.
  • Knowledge of Uploading on Website / Video Recording at Events and Video editing skills would be an added advantage.
  • Adequate knowledge of Open Office & Internet
  • Other Admin assignments and duties as and when required.
  • Multitasking Skills
  • Must be presentable
  • A keen desire for self-improvement and learning, ability to work under pressure, being part of a team, having a positive attitude and retaining flexibility to work across a number of sections and sectors would be essential attributes.
