INTERNSHIP DETAILS:
Name of Profile: Information Analyst (Work from Home)
Nature of Work: The profile includes collecting information from specific defined online source(s) and storing them in an excel sheet. You will be given a target number for completion.
Location of Work: As mentioned above, this is a work-from home assignment. You can work from home or college or a location convenient to you. You can be in any city/town in India. There is no reporting required to our office. There will be no need to come down personally for interview either.
Working Hours: There are no fixed working hours. You can work at your own time towards target completion. You will have to periodically email your assignment completion progress record.
Will the role involve sales or marketing? No, this profile does not involve sales or marketing. (We do have other sales/marketing internship opportunities.)
Will I have to come down personally for an interview? No. Interview will be via internet/telephone.
Who can Apply for the Information Analyst Profile? The following are the pre-requisites for applying: 1. You can apply if you meet one of the following criteria:
- In the academic year ending March 2016, you are a student of the First Year or Second year B.Com. / B.M.S./B.A.F./B.B.I./B.A/ B. Sc. /B.M.M. (i.e. from June 2016 onwards you will either be in Final Year or the Second Year) OR
- You are pursuing Masters degree and have not already completed any Masters degree OR
- You are at a stage where you will be in the final year or the second-last year of your undergraduate course from June 2016 onwards
(Note the course as well as the college/university from which you are pursuing the course should be recognised by the appropriate regulatory authority. )
- You should be having regular access to a desktop / laptop with internet connection. You should have a spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel) on your machine.
- You should be having knowledge of basic use of internet and surfing websites. Advanced knowledge is NOT required.
- You should have just a very basic knowledge of Excel (or a spreadsheet software). Advanced knowledge is NOT required.
- You should have a serious attitude towards the internship assignment. Note: People who are employed full-time are not eligible. People who have applied for any internship role in our organisation in the past 1 year and have not successfully completed it are not eligible.
Is knowledge of digital signatures necessary for applying? No.
How many people can apply? Requirement is for a multiple number of interns and there is no restriction on the number of people who can apply. Of course, there will be a selection process involved.
When and How does an intern get Certificates/Medals/Trophies/Cash prizes?
Every intern can achieve two types of targets – Basic Target and Advanced Target. The Advanced Target is obviously higher than the Basic Target.
- After successful completion of the Basic Target, you will be given a certificate of completion (basic) [It follows that interns who do not complete the Basic Target will not get any certificate.]
- If you also complete the Advanced Target, you will be given a certificate of completion (advanced) and a medal. All interns who complete Advanced Target will also get a medal in addition to the certificate.
- Out of all the interns (across all colleges), the intern who completes the Advanced Target with the highest number will also be given a trophy and a cash reward of Rs. 3,000 (INR Three Thousand Only). The intern who completes the Advanced Target with the second-highest number will be given a trophy and a cash reward of Rs 2,000 (INR Two Thousand Only). The intern who completes the Advanced Target with the third-highest number will be given a trophy and a cash reward of Rs 1,000 (INR One Thousand Only).
Note: i) Apart from what has been mentioned above, there will be no other type of reward or recognition or compensation (whether monetary or otherwise). No reimbursement will be provided for any expenses. ii) After completion of Basic Target, it is not mandatory to achieve Advanced Target for getting the certificate of completion (basic). However it is recommended that you try for Advanced too.
What is in it for You as an intern?

- An opportunity to put your knowledge and theory into practice to solve real-world business requirements.
- Selected students may also get an opportunity to continue working part-time or even full-time after the internship period and thus have a source of income and work exposure.
