Name of Profile: Sales Intern

Nature of Work:
The profile includes finding prospects for digital signatures and converting the sales. You will be given an area (which will preferably as per your choice) in which you will have to target prospects (offices/industries), sell digital signatures and complete the process related to providing the digital signatures. Once a prospect wants to take the digital signature, you have to collect the form/documents/payment from him and submit the same to our office which will generate the digital signature.


Who can Apply?
The following are the pre-requisites for applying:

1. You can apply if you meet one of the following criteria:

•  You are a student of the Second Year or Third year B.Com. / B.M.S./B.A.F./B.B.I.
•  You are pursuing M.Com. OR
• You who have completed B.Com. / B.M.S./B.A.F./B.B.I. / M.Com-I/M.Com.-II OR
• You are pursuing or have completed P.G. Diploma or  Degree Course in Sales and Marketing  or a course having significant emphasis on sales OR
• You are in the second or third-year undergraduate course in Sales or Sales and Marketing or a course having significant emphasis on sales

2. You should have good oral communication skills in English and Hindi. You should be willing and reasonably comfortable talking to strangers.

3. You should be physically fit and willing to go around in the area allotted to you.

4. You should have a positive attitude and be ready to take on challenges.

Note: People who are employed full-time or who are doing a full-time internship are not eligible.

How many people can Apply?
Requirement is for a multiple number of interns and there is no restriction to the number of people who can apply.

Is technical knowledge of digital signatures required for applying?No, not at all.
Can a person who has not even heard of digital signatures till now, apply for the role?Yes, certainly! Even if you have not heard of digital signatures till now, you can apply and even do well. You will be given the requisite training,


How easy/difficult is it to sell digital signatures?Digital signatures are used for a variety of purposes like Income Tax e-filing, Provident Fund filing, e-tendering, for company/LLP formation, for DGFT filing and for other purposes. Not just that, for most purposes, use of digital signatures is made mandatory by the Government of India. Thus as you can see, it is not untargetted sales of something that is not required. It is more about meeting the right targets who actually need the product.

Location of Work:
This requirement is for people residing in Mumbai as well outside Mumbai. You will be given an area which will preferably be as per your choice/convenience. You will have to convert sales in that area and thus travel will be restricted largely within that area. So there is no regular travelling to our office. However sometimes interns may be called to our office for training/reporting/other purposes.


Working Hours:
There are no fixed working hours. You can work at your own time.  However as mentioned above, sometimes you may be called to our office for training/reporting/other purposes .

Compensation and Certificate:
You will be  given a sales target of Rs. 1,00,000/- (INR One Lakh Only) revenue to achieve within 2 1/2 (two and a half) months (till around October second week). On meeting at least 30% of the target, you will get a compensation of Rs. 5,000/- (INR Five Thousand Only). Further, for every additional Rs. 10,000/- revenue and additional compensation of Rs. 1,000/- will be given. Thus as you can see, there is no maximum limit to which an intern can earn.

Note: Apart from the above, there will be no other reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses or any similar expenses, irrespective of the extent to which a target is completed.

How easy/difficult is it to meet the above target?
As you can  see the bare minimum requirement for getting a certificate and compensation is to generate 30% of Rs. 1,00,000 i.e. Rs. 30,000 of revenue. Now our digital signatures of different types are priced between Rs. 1,200/- to Rs. 5,015/- Thus as you can see it is even possible to meet the target by selling just 6 digital signatures! And that is not only possible but also surpassable if you work diligently. Further you will also be trained on how to do effective targetting.

Further, please note that at this time, digital signature demand is slated to peak. So you get all the more opportunity to complete your targets.

What is in it for You as an intern?

• An opportunity to enter the field of digital signatures - which is an important field considering that India has grand plans of going digital in many areas. The applicability of digital signatures has been steadily growing and encompassing many fields in the past few years.
• An opportunity to do sales at an early age. Though some students dislike sales, the fact is that on entering the corporate world, to reach top-levels, you have to do sales in one form or the other. So, the earlier the exposure to sales, the better it is!
• Selected students may also get an opportunity to continue working part-time or even full-time after the internship period and thus have a source of income and work exposure.
